What pops into your mind when you hear this word? My guess would be ‘social bubble.’ How extraordinary that only 18 months ago, those two words weren’t joined at the hip. Now they’re best mates and internationally understood. Well, if there’s anything we’ve learned from these unprecedented times it’s that the only constant is indeed change.
We, humans, are resilient, and for the most part, we are adaptable to change. However, the changes we have seen, felt, and experienced have really taken their toll. We’re still mystified and digesting a hug-less world of masks, vaccines and living in a world of online everything. Our zest for life has been well and truly stifled by the chaos and uncertainty of these crazy times.
As life begins to expand once more – It’s time for us to look at bubbles differently again. Think back to your childhood where you skipped after soapy bubbles from a plastic bubble-blower, dunked yellow ducks in splashy bubble baths and held bubble-gum blowing competitions with your friends. Can you remember those feelings of wonder, awe, and joyous delight that your childhood self found in such small pleasures?
That delighted, joyous inner child is still within you. Just waiting for you to bring back more fun and playfulness into your life. So how do we bring back the bubbles? We simply upgrade our bubbles as adults to a personal effervescence within as we reclaim our curiosity, child-like exuberance, and enthusiasm.
As a French foodie whose family hails from the Champagne region of France, there’s no surprise where my inspiration for bubbles and effervescence comes from! I am delighted to be The Enthusiast and love that The Wellness Revolution places some of my core values into practice such as cultivating curiosity, creativity, and celebration!
I love to share my optimal energy and holistic wellbeing philosophies. More specifically, I help business leaders and their teams to enrich the quality of their lives; to have more energy; to sleep better, and to better control their physical, emotional, and mental health. My style includes a joie de vivre rooted in curiosity, connection, community, and celebration!
Holistic health and wellbeing are such broad topics and for the purpose of this article, I would like to bring awareness to one of the most common issues that I am seeing now … this tangible collective fatigue.
We’re fatigued. We have lockdown fatigue. ZOOM fatigue. TEAMS fatigue. Physical, emotional, and mental fatigue. Now, as we cannot always change what is happening around us, these stressors could just increase, and they are certainly not going to go away. What we need to do is look at how we can enhance our resilience and our holistic wellbeing.
Holistic wellbeing starts with having a solid foundation for physical wellbeing, so move your body, get enough rest, hydrate, and eat your greens! This will make it easier for you to optimise your emotional and mental wellbeing and to feel effervescent and bubbly.
Our energy levels are the foundation of our physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, and that concept seems so simple – yet is incredibly powerful. When our energy is high, we can move mountains. When it’s low, we become demotivated, sick, and tired. Without energy our bodies become less productive and resilient, lack of energy can even influence the way we think, our health, our mood, and our overall happiness. Low energy is bad news for us as human beings and it affects every part of our life.
Our ability to lead and succeed is directly proportional to the energy available to us, but high-pressure jobs and our Western lifestyle actually deplete our life energy, putting our performance, work capacity, health, and fulfilment at risk.
As the Enthusiast, I am passionate about helping people live healthier lives in a way that is practical, playful, and celebratory. After all, we change most when we feel good, not bad.
